CATHRYN NEBEL
CMRM, CPB PRESIDENT, CEO
Cathryn began her career in the Manufacturing Sector, recently in the Medical Device, Aerospace, and Industrial industries in multiple leadership roles with direct oversight for the End-to-End Supply Chain functions. With a mission to improve customers' experience through improved systems, having multiple hands-on experiences on implementing ERP/Cloud solutions resulted in increased revenue, decreased operating costs, and improved customer engagement.
In 2021, Cathryn launched Freedom Revenue Solutions, with a focus on serving as a solution for small and medium Medical and Dental Practices regarding the whole Practice Revenue Cycle Management, teaming up with Practices to enable administrative solutions to improve Patient experience, retention, and Practice bottom line results.
Cathryn holds a degree in Business Administration/Organizational Management from Vanguard University in Orange County, California. She has recently completed Certification from MRMMA (Medical Revenue Management Association of America) as a Certified Medical Revenue Manager and Certified Professional Biller (CPB) from AAPC.

Outside the office, Cathryn and her husband enjoy time with their five girls and grandchildren.
ASHLEY SHAWDA
BILLING DIRECTOR
Ashley brings over 19 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management, with deep roots in optometry and a growing portfolio across diverse medical specialties. Her journey began in a local optometry practice where she spent 16 years mastering every facet of patient care, insurance billing, and office operations—progressing into the role of Office Manager in mid-2020.
Today, Ashley is a key leader at Freedom Revenue Solutions, where she partners with healthcare providers to streamline their revenue cycles, improve cash flow, and ensure accurate, timely reimbursements. Her expertise spans front-to-back RCM processes, including payer credentialing, claim denial resolution, patient statement management, and EHR integrations.
Ashley holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. She is a Certified Medical Revenue Manager (CMRM) through MRMMA and a Certified Professional Biller (CPB) through AAPC.
Recently, Ashley relocated to Tennessee with her husband and three kids, where they are embracing a new chapter filled with growth, community, and opportunity.
